Design and implementation of the standard IEEE 802.21 MIH (Media Independent Handover), which studies the performance of handovers between heterogeneous networks, in two parallel projects. In the first one, I designed and implemented, in collaboration with the University of Essex, a Connection Manager that complied with the standard IEEE 802.21. The programming language used was JAVA. In the second one, I got involved in a collaborative project with the company InterDigital. The aim of that project was getting a MIH Client completely integrated in a mobile phone with an audio-video conference application, which I designed and implemented. The operating system used was Windows Mobile 6 and the software was implemented in C++. |
