Main tasks:

-        Quasi-static and impact structural analysis, solution of both linear and non linear problems;

-        Experimental material characterisation of foams, aluminium honeycombs and composites according to standard testing procedures;

-        Finite Element modelling of the experimental tests and validation;

-        Design, Finite Element modelling of innovative helmets and optimisation;

-        Writing of periodical activity reports and presentation to senior research team

-        One month fulltime internship within MYMOSA Project

-        Manufacturing and assembly of prototype motorbike helmets

-        Experimental testing of prototype motorcycle helmets, making recommendations for further improvement of the prototype themselves

-        Familiarisation with standard procedures for testing helmets and testing equipments

-        Familiarisation with helmet production processes and costs

Software: Proficient in the use of Ls-Dyna, Hypermesh, Autocad, Ls-Prepost, MatLab and Java;
