I strongly believe that I have the aptitude, ambitions and enthusiasm needed that I can develop into a valuable member of the engineering team of an international company.
During the last two years I have developed my technical and analytical skills working as a member of a research group at an ESA’s project. My occupation with this high demand project has improved my ability to work independently within an extensive team environment. In the frame of the project I have developed software for spectral analysis and signal filtering through digital filters. Mostly I have dealt with satellite data from ESA’s earth observation missions, such as data from the accelometer of CHAMP mission and gradiometer’s data of the ESA’s new satellite mission GOCE. The research’s results have been presented at the 4th International GOCE User Workshop the previous April in Munich.
I am confident that both my academic and professional experience in GPS system serves me well in a relevant position. In terms of academic level, during my MSc studies, I have established a geodetic network for geodynamic research (field measurements, data processing by miscellaneous GNSS software and software development in MATLAB for crustal deformation monitoring). Additionally, I have applied GPS kinematic methods (DGPS - RTK) through permanent GPS network (HERMES) in order to control the method’s accuracy. Moreover, in the frame of my diploma thesis I have developed software in MATLAB for satellites orbits (GPS, LEO) computation and simulation. At a professional level, during the last four years I have been working as a freelancer for the establishment of a number of GPS networks and for topographic surveys as well. I have been working both at field measurements and data analysis and also as a CAD operator.
My post graduated as well as my MSc studies gave me powerful qualification in the fields of space engineer and geoinformation. More specifically I have dealt with statistics, estimation theory, mathematical model and observation equations analysis of the GPS system, navigation, earth observation and the principles of these kind of satellites (such as CHAMP, GRACE, GOCE, CRYOSAT, altimeter satellites), data processing, orbit determination, signal processing, filtering and programming. Additionally my experience with the ESA’s project gave me experience working in a team environment and knowledge working at all the phases of a project (data analysis, requirements analysis, functional specifications, software development, testing).
My professional and academic experience combined with my passion for problem solving make me ideal for projects where deadlines, viability, innovation and user satisfaction are all vital.
I am flexible regarding the start date. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss my suitability and my ideas for developing a role in person. I don’t speak French very well yet, but because I am living in France now, I have started French lessons in order of communication.
