PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

· January 2012-today: Application Engineer for SAT3PLAY at Newtec

Application Engineer:: satellite telecommunications, ground segment; VSAT systems; modulators, demodulators and modems; RF, IP technologies, DVB-S, DVB-S2.

Provide direct technical support to customers worldwide. Identify, follow-up, resolve and document customer technical issues. Contribute to commercial roll-out projects such as on-site installations, acceptance tests and trainings. Participate in service interventions such as system upgrades, configuration changes and preventive maintenance visits abroad. Interface with other departments on product enhancements or deficiencies, whilst acting as the customer’s liaison. Assist in the validation, documentation and training of new products and software releases.

· September 09-September11: Spanish Trainee at European Space Agency (ESA) in  ESTEC (Netherlands).

Telecommunications Engineer in RF Payloads Division. Communications Physical Layer; predistortion for nonlinear systems, end-to-end design, link budget, evaluation of interferences, Power amplifier characterization, OBO optimization; DVB-S2 standards. Analysis of traffic data profiles for IRIS air traffic management, adaptation of INDRA network emulator (AINE) for ESA purposes, DVB-RCS congestion control.

·  June 08-July 09: EADS-CASA (Madrid).

Avionics Engineer at the Military Transport Aircraft Division (M.T.A.D), in their test benches facilities. Integration and validation, by means of the EADS tool of Stimulation, Acquisition and Simulation (SEAS) for the A330-MRTT and A330-FSTA projects. Testing, elaboration of technical documentation, definition of interfaces according to ICD, configuration of databases, preparation of test benches.

· February 08-June 08: Sloane Park, Prague (Czech Republic).

Internship in configuration and evaluation of communications networks and equipments.

 

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

- 2001- 2007: Telecommunications Engineering Degree, University of Málaga. (Specialization in “Communications”)

· 2004-2005:  Exchange Erasmus student at Mikkeli Polytechnic (Finland).

· 2006-2007: Final Degree Project: “Study of data transmissions with OFDM modulations combined with CDMA: MC-DS-CDMA and MC-CDMA”. Graduated with Honors.

- 2008-2009: Master in Science and Technology from Space, Official Postgrade Program in “Space Research”, University of Alcalá de Henares.
