Responsibilities included:

Configuring the satellite payload to permit up links access as required.

Remotely operating and maintaining the supporting (TTC&R) ground equipment.

Performed satellite procedures validation including payload operations, contingency, and recovery procedures.

Assisted with various platform procedures including eclipse operation and battery management.

Performed all assigned responsibilities as the senior controller 24 hours a day-seven days a week, which included running various scheduled satellite procedures, ranging, telemetry analysis, archiving and monitoring the health of the spacecraft.

Conducting In Orbit Tests (IOT) for Orion-F1 payload (K-U band trans-Atlantic coverage, gain frequency response, transponder troubleshooting and pilot’s EIRP measurements.

 Real time customer technical support including G/T measurements, verifying equipment configuration,  directing appropriate adjustments by the earth station for transmitted carriers.

Testing/evaluating user’s antenna performance (VSATs) to meet Orion’s specifications requirements.  

Operating/maintaining the remote control spectrum analyzers and monitoring network system.

Implementing testing and system operation of all IF, RF stage deployed equipment including LNA/B/C, MUX, modems, converters, amplifiers and antenna sub-systems that are currently radiating towards Intelsat AOR and IOR, Inmarsat and Arabsat satellites.  

Link budget calculations, end to end tests for either analog (FDMA) and digital (TDMA) services.  

Maintaining the E/S overall high performance to comply with the CCITT recommendations.
