Current Research Interest and Activities


-Interpretive technological innovations in Historic Preservation: Experiments and exhibits now underway using lasers and custom optics in focused geometric configurations to recreate no-longer extant historic structures in 3D wire frame, at scale. Collaboration with Dr. Matthew Caywood, Artificial Intelligence Group, MITRE Corp.


-ARmor: Augmented Reality overlays with automobile heads-up-display integration for pedestrian safety. Beginning stages of programming utilizing Kinect tracking/recognition platform.


-Preservation of space based cultural resources; applying National Register of Historic Places protection to orbital artifacts and Lunar landing sites.

The global Fabrication Laboratory network is a program of the MIT Center for Bits and Atoms. Founded in order to provide localized sources of robust personalized digital fabrication, using the latest technology in order to transform ideas in reality.


-Assisting in the operation of rapid prototyping equipment and programs, 3D printers, laser cutters, CNC routers, and circuit board milling machines.
