Eight years of programming experience in Ada, Assembler, C, C++, Objective-C and Python. Experience in low level programming, onboard software for satellites, SPARC (ERC32 and LEON2), MIL-STD-1553, ECSS-E70-40A (PUS), RTEMS, simulator development and large code bases (millions of lines of code).
 
PhD and MSc in computer science / engineering. Graduated BSc first in class.

2008--2012 Ph.D. candidate, The Netherlands
Expected graduation in November 2012. Research in the area of optimizing compilers. The research has focused on providing automatic and semi-automatic linked data-structure optimization using automatic compiler analysis, language extensions and hardware extensions. For the operating system course a multitasking and memory protected kernel was designed and implemented on the ARM platform.

On-board satellite software development. Primary focus was the 1553 software stack, time manager and housekeeping system. The on-board software was developed according to detailed systems requirements and subject to extensive testing. The position also included the evaluation of on-board Java and assistance to a CPU simulator project where the QEMU computer simulator was adopted to simulate the ERC-32 and LEON processors used by ESA.
 
2006--2007 Young Graduate Trainee at the European Space Agency, The Netherlands
Testing, bug fixing and evaluation of the RSVF6 and VSRF simulators. Development of extensions for the simulators (e.g. Google Earth integration). Detailed performance evaluation of RSVF6.
