  • 9 years’ applicable aerospace experience
  • 3 years’ experience in satellite command and control mission operations for the Air Force, including satellite launch, first acquisition, early-orbit, and station keeping operations for LEO, MEO, and GEO constellations
  • 1 year of NASA Johnson Space Center co-op experience under the Mission Operations Directorate
  • 5 years’ experience working for Lockheed Martin responsible for systems integration and satellite systems operations

Certified to conduct spacecraft flight operations during readiness, execution and evaluation phases.  Develop plans and procedures to provide mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, command and control of on-orbit satellites.  Provide technical direction for on orbit mission support, plan for critical vehicle malfunctions and recommend alternate operating techniques.  Provide failure analysis of the performance of the orbiting satellites via telemetry data.  Utilize multiple platforms of system software to accomplish all spacecraft control tasks and recommend improvements.  Analyze and validate software performance.  Perform flight length orbit adjust and daily special event studies.  Currently working towards Orbit Analyst certification to plan maneuvers and analyze attitude/ orbit data to predictand generate ephemeris.

 Systems Engineer Asc. – (Jun 2007 to Aug 2008)

Trained in ISS's Electrical Power, Thermal Control, and Command and Data Handling Subsystems.  Analyzed Control Moment Gyro anomalies.  Supported NASA's Extreme Environment Mission Operations, by performing Data Officer and Communications & Activities Officer operations.

Advanced Operations Development (DV3) – (May 2005 to Aug 2005)

Researched various hardware to support exploration analog missions in a Mars like mockup.  Accomplished pre-planning and conducted crew training for Desert Research and Technology Studies mission.

 Descent Analysis (DM42) (Aug 2004 to Dec 2004)

Generated 3-sigma ground debris footprints for Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission Satellite de-orbit by utilizing Monte-Carlo runs of Simulation & Optimization of Rocket Trajectories (SORT) program.  Supported NEEMO 7, by performing data operations.  Conducted study based on hand-written Matlab code to clarify relationship between post-burn height of perigee and possible skip-out for re-entering vehicles.

 Evaluator/ Awards Program Coordinator (Apr 1999 to Jan 2000)

Meticulously evaluated candidates as they performed tasks in the emulator to qualify for both ground and satellite operations certification. Wrote and administered rigorous and demanding emulator scripts to challenge candidates.  Measured candidates against peers to select very best operators. 

Satellite Systems Operator (SSO) (Dec 1998 to Jan 2000)

Successful in leading teams involved in monitoring, testing, configuring, troubleshooting, and maintaining both satellite and ground equipment.  Specifically, led a three-member Mission Control Team involved in controlling the Defense Support Program (DSP) and Midcourse Space Experiment (MSX) satellites.  Performed over 750 error-free satellite contact supports on four different satellite systems.

 Ground Systems Operator (GSO) (Oct 1997 to Jan 2000)

Served as a team leader to coordinate system resources, while also serving as the primary interface for satellite command and telemetry readout capabilities.  Worked with AFSCN radar sites to support missions on DSP, MSX, GPS, ACE, and TAOS satellites.  Awarded ground systems operator of the year.  Ground equipment expertise includes operations center, antenna sites, and communication links.  Supported ground equipment and orbiting satellites valued in excess of $5.2 billion.
