“Method of machining for a carriage A321”

 

Method:

  • To study some of the industrial practices of ASCO Industries:

 

  • Analysis of customers’ drawings (British Aerospace),
  • Use of the 4 axis milling machine MANDELLI THUNDER 800,
  • Training on the custom methods from ASCO Industries.

 

  • Development of the machining method for a carriage A321: numbers of needed               operations.
  • Checking of the tool vibrations during the test about the first finishing operation.
  • Completing of the machining method for the whole part.
  • Definitions and cutting parameters of the selected tools.
  • Machining documentation for the programmer and production of metrological control charts.
  • Time and cost investigation.

 

At the end of this work, the development of the part can proceed to a new phase: programming under the CAD/CAM software CATIA V4 or V5.
