ACCOMPLISHMENTS WIRE HARNESS DESIGN

Designed/reviewed/checked and approved aerospace electrical harness documentation resulting in the successful build and launch of satellites that serve the corporate networking, internet, video, TV, radio, military, and civil needs of the customers.

Generated electrical designs to identify the proper components. Selected space rated components for harsh environments resulting in robust systems.

Prepared controlled engineering drawings to support the fabrication, installation, and testing of prototype and production systems resulting in validated systems.

Maintained a master Bill of Materials database record for use by aerospace cable design engineers. Developed, reviewed, and approved stencils/symbols for use in engineering drawings. Standardized format. Entered EBOM into Costpoint.

Verified availability of various components of harness (cable/wire, terminals, and connectors) with component manufacturer prior to implementation of design. Confirmed that components were agency compliance approved (UL, CSA, TUV).

ELECTRICAL MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING

Developed and approved engineering change orders (ECO), purchase orders (PO), change requests (CR), and new releases (NR) during release of new products. Updated engineering drawings and standard operation procedures (SOP) documentation resulting in improved documentation accuracy. Addressed delivery and quality issues with suppliers.

Developed project cost savings estimates. Provided engineering support to harness supplier change activities resulting in an estimated $250,000 annual cost saving.

Coordinated redesign of circuit board assembly resulting in an estimated annual cost savings of $300,000 and a 10 - 20 percent circuit board reliability improvement.
