Maintenance Team Lead– June 2010- July 2013 

 

Responsible for the depot and field level maintenance and repair of various IEW systems and secure networking hardware in a combat and sustainment environment. This includes training and technical advice to military operators, analysts and technicians assigned to intelligence, Intercept/Electronic Warfare and specialized reconnaissance missions. Provides specialized technical assistance within a tactical SCIF to accommodate fielding operations of IEW systems, communications systems, and human intelligence equipment. Troubleshoots systems, ancillary equipment, repairs and maintains these assigned systems and equipment to Army and DOD standards. Performs quality and safety reviews of equipment installation practices. Manages and contributes technical input to for technical documents. Performs hardware installations, builds specialized cabling, and installs network hardware. Configures computer, secure networking and communication devices, and peripheral equipment. 

Satellite Technician (Iraq FSR)– Dec 08- May 2010:  Rockwell Collins, Duluth GA.

 

Maintain Deployable Ku Earth Terminal satellite communication system. Troubleshoot and resolve circuit outages on the system. Hands on knowledge of antenna controller, satellite acquisition, HPA/TWT, LNA/LNB, Fiber/Coax/Ethernet cables, FDMA/TDMA modems, up- converters, down/converters. Familiar with VSAT Link way modem, Cisco Router. Use Remedy to report outages and equipment failures. Provide weekly/monthly reports of personnel and equipment status.

 

Production Controller – June 05- Dec 08 – Dec 08;137 Space Warning Squadron Greeley, CO

Provide production requirements for various phases of maintenance and analysis of Air Force Space and Satellite System. Coordinated and evaluated logistical action required to support missions, weapon systems, or other programs, where the ability to integrate separate functions of planning and implementing a system upgrade and or software requirements was paramount. Track and report all required maintenance.  Insure all maintenance was completed in a timely manner through scheduled maintenance or down time due to failure of the system. Coordinate with higher echelon such as, Cheyenne Mountain and 2 SWS to insure ITTWA platform requirements at all levels were met. COMSEC custodian for area of responsibility. Operate and train shop personnel on Global Broadcast System (GBS), Iridium and BGAN systems. Operate MILSTAR Terminal and perform preventive maintenance inspections and corrective measures.

 

Electronic Integrated Systems Mechanic – Apr 01- Jun 05; 514 CS McGuire, AFB, NJ

Operate, setup, perform maintenance, logistics and administrative functions related to ground radio, TRI Band Satellite Communications System and wireless communications to include INMARSAT B, MINI M, Iridium Telephones. Developed work center training plans, and trained personnel on mobile tactical communication equipment. Manage logistical operations for deployments to remote locations. Operate multiple cryptographic devices.
