Spacecraft Operations Engineer (Nov 2014 - May 2016)
Working at the Galileo Control Centre (GCC-D) as Galileo Controller and Engineer. Responsible for Payload, TT&C and Data Handling Subsystems of the Galileo constellation. Real time operations support: routine, special and contingency. Anomaly
reports handling. Preparation, testing and validation of Flight Operations Procedures.
Analysis of subsystems performance and reporting.


Operations Engineer (May 2013 - Oct 2014):
Working at the Rosetta Science Ground Segment Centre at the European Space
Astronomy Centre (ESAC). Testing & Validation of the Rosetta Operational System: test
plans, system tests, test reports, operational acceptance tests, system requirements
production, problem reporting. Quick Look Data Operator: Quick look data analysis in a
daily basis for all Rosetta observations in communication with Principal Investigators.


 Mission Planner (March 2008 - Apr 2013):

Working at the Herschel Science Centre at ESAC. Member of the Herschel Community Support Group as Mission Planner: Proposal handling, scientific mission planning, acceptance testing of the software, generation of statistics, user requirements, etc.


Technical Support Engineer (March 2007 - Feb 2008 ):

Working at ESO (European Southern Observatory) as part of the Virtual Observatory System Department of the Data Management and Operations Division. Working on VO (Virtual Observatory) standard interfaces and tools. Implementation of Simple Spectral Access Protocol for accessing and displaying ESO spectral data following VO standards. Preparation of hands-on technical sessions during two Euro-VO DCA Workshops “How to Publish Data”.


Technical Assistant (Dec 2004 - Feb 2007):

Working as Technical Assistant for the ISO Data Centre and XMM-Newton Science Operations Centre: Short-term planning and schedule generation for the XMM-Newton Observatory, including enhancement of the observing proposals, optimisation of the scientific schedule and creation of the schedule of calibration proposals. Improvement of the Infrared Space Observatory archive, including ingestion of new reprocessed data, new ISO catalogues and atlases, tracking of refereed ISO, collaboration in the development and testing of new versions of the archive, implementation of query by object type, etc.

Research Fellowship (Nov 2002 - Oct 2004):

Fellowship from “Ministerio de Ciencia y Tecnología” (Spanish Ministry of Science and Technology) at ESAC. Calibration and monitoring of one of the instrument on board the XMM-Newton Observatory, the Reflection Grating Spectrometer. Testing and developing the AVO (Astrophysical Virtual Observatory) prototype and on the improvement of the ISO archive.
