Participation to the following ESA programme:

·         Zero Boil-Off Propulsion System Feasibility Demonstration.: analysis of cryogenic liquid propulsion systems and of interplanetary mission scenarios. Definition of the functional and design propulsion system requirements.

 

·   Active Removal of Space Debris: Expanding foam application for active removal of space debris: comparison among different scenarios concerning the exploitation of expanding foam for the deorbiting of space debris and preliminary platform sizing and design and hazards and risks analyses. This research was conducted in the frame of the Ariadna scheme of ESA.

 

·         D-Orbit: upgrade on a software of low thrust mission analysis. I added to the standard software, already providing several possibilities for simulations of interplanetary and Earth-Moon low thrust transfers, many different orbital perturbation models, an attitude & energy propagation module and a new Graphical User Interface.

2009 – present: Supervision of many bachelor and master degree thesis works.

In 2006 I took part in the "9th Student Parabolic Flight Campaign" as Team Leader of "Space Invaders" Team with an experiment based on EHD effect for heat exchange named "High Efficiency Heat Exchanger".

In May 2006 I received a sponsorhip to take part at Space Technology Education Conference 2006 in Braunschweig.

July 2005: Degree Thesis titled “ EHD experiment during a parabolic flight: Design of the experimental apparatus”.

July 2009: Master Degree Thesis titled “Development and validation of an attitude and subsystems simulation software for a spacecraft equipped with electric propulsion”.
