Engineering fellow in the Physics dept., CMS Tracker Phase II Upgrade group
Lead developer and project manager of the tkLayout detector 3d modelling and analysis software, a key tool in the design of the new CMS Tracker. tkLayout generates a tracker geometry and evaluates its performance through models for track properties given as input (fitted distributions, fluence maps, error propagation models). Flexible, modular, written in C++11 with STL, Boost and ROOT. Project was conference presented.

Java and C developer of interface software for the company-produced flagship line of waveform digitizers to perform data readout and waveform analysis (histograms, fitting, error propagation).

Project scientist in the FF-LYNX collaboration, sponsored by U. of California Santa Barbara
Designed and tested a new communication protocol for high-energy physics. 
Protocol designed from the ground up (time-division multiplexinreal-time, fixed latency, error tolerant). Developed a full-scale distributed software simulation of the electronics implementing the protocol (C++, SystemC, Python). Developed the PC interface to the FPGA emulator (C++, QT). Work was published.
