Thermal Engineer / Consultant August 2012 – Present Altran Sud-Ouest, Toulouse, France

Main tasks include:

- Thermal modelling and analysis of compressor sections of jet engines using Abaqus. For example, LeapX, Silvercrest and TP5000.

- Conversion of thermal models from Patran to Workbench.

- Preparation of 150 page reports and 2 hour long presentations.


Maintenance Engineer / Intern July 2011 – February 2012 ITP, Ajalvir, Spain

- Performance analysis and in service support of aeronautical engines EJ200, PT6, F404, TFE731, TFE331 and ATAR9K.

- Translation of technical documentation from Spanish to English.

- Assistance in the training of both foreign personnel in maintenance procedures of the TFE731 engine and the company's own technicians in Vibrations and Health Monitoring.



Université de Bordeaux I, Bordeaux, France February 2012 – July 2011

Master's thesis on the study of the regulator of the ATAR9K series at the Institut de Maintenance Aéronautique (IMA) in collaboration with the Atelier Industriel de l'Aéronautique (AIA). Main tasks  included:

- Synthesis of the original documentation on the system.

- Overhaul of a regulator.

- Simulation on Matlab/Simulink of its behaviour.
