Profile

·     Around seven (07) years experience as research engineer and Ground Station operation & Support engineer with recognized strengths in device/equipments/subsystem maintenance, problem-solving and troubleshooting, satellite controller support, planning/implementing proactive procedures and systems to avoid problems in the first place.

·     Possess solid communication (both oral and written) skills.

·     Excellent working knowledge of all the operations related to the Geostationary satellite ground station, including ground station operation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, frequency/payload monitoring, frequency planning, user management and un-authorize carrier suppression using related software and hardware.

·     Ability to train and motivate team members and newcomers.

·     A productive and trusted individual and team player.

·     Awarded scholarship on merit from SUPARCO for MS in Communication Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden.

·     Final Year Masters project approved and adopted by the Onsala Space Observatory, Sweden for the detection of Hydrogen lines in the Milky Way of our Galaxy.

 

Synopsis of Achievements

·     Successful completion of Master’s Project “Digital Receiver for SALSA” with Onsala Space Observatory, Gothenburg, Sweden.

·     Successfully installed, commissioned and smooth operations of Pakistan first communication satellite Paksat-1R ground control station, which includes its TT&C (Telemetry, Tracking and Control), SCC (Satellite Control Centre) and CSM (Carrier Sensing and Monitoring) subsystems.

·     Participated in the SATs (Site Acceptance Tests) of the ground station subsystems installed in Ground Station-Karachi.

·     Participated in the FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests) of the antenna feeds installed in TT&C and payload monitoring antenna systems conducted in CGWIC, China.

·     Annual Excellence Award 2011.

·     Proactive planning led to streamline the operations and a notable increase in morale in all sections of the ground station.

·     Participation and successful completion of providing end to end solution and implementation of VSAT video and data links during special events.

·     Annual Excellence Award 2012.

·     Established Video conferencing link between main and backup ground stations.
