Managing a technological advanced manufacturer of Aerospace flight hardware and Mechanical Ground Support Equipment. 

Serving clients which are part of the leading consortia in the European Space Industry (Airbus Defence and Space, Thales Alenia Space, OHB, ESA, etc.).

Responsible for managing 0.8 bn US$ spend on corporate and facility services. 

Part of the European Procurement Management Team and reporting directly to the CPO. 

Lead the Journey to Procurement Excellence program. Delivering record savings by taking an unconventional approach to delivery of value and realizing a step change in capabilities.


2011 - 2013

Group Director procurement development

Responsible for functional excellence of the Tata Steel Group global procurement function. 

Leading a global team of senior strategic procurement professionals, reporting to the CPO. Developing and implementing the functional excellence roadmap: (1) benchmarking and strategy development for the procurement function (2) organizational design and governance, (3) all people capability aspects, (4) introduction and deployment of the procurement IT landscape, (5) custodian of all group policies standards and processes. 


2006 - 2011

Manager Supplies Services

Responsible for a department of 30 (senior) buyers who purchase among others CAPEX projects and all installation & maintenance services for Tata Steel mainland Europe. The total annual purchase spend was over 500 million US$.


2005 - 2006

Sector manager maintenance contracts (budget 150 m€)

Responsible for a team of 5 strategic senior buyers and 2 junior buyers. 

Main objectives were to identify and realize savings, ensure supply in line with negotiated contract conditions of all the Tata Steel business units in IJmuiden. 





Deployed to the Global Supply Chain Management service line.




Responsible for delivery of procurement transformation projects and managing client accounts (i.e. US Steel, PWN, Canon, Ahold)
