Experience maintaining, aligning, peaking, crosspoling and tuning (in accordance with satellite standards) .5 to 5 meter parabolic antennas. Hands-on involvement with system monitoring, remote terminal commissioning, routine preventive maintenance, customer problem tracking, and network problem resolution in all aspects of networking integral to VSAT Baseband, IF, and RF Communications.

Experienced at installing, restoring and administration of Windows/Microsoft, DOS, iRMX, INGRES, VAX/VMS, SQL, SNMP and UNIX software/database disciplines with knowledge of proprietary database applications and word processors.
Proficient in the use of; protocol analyzers, data scopes, spectrum analyzers, sniffers, oscilloscopes, firebirds, frequency counters, synthesizers, power meters, volt/ohm/db meters, amplifiers, attenuators, chart recorders, desktop/rack-mount computers and numerous desktop applications.
Operations and maintenance experience on various antennas, high power amplifiers (HPA), transmitters, receivers, up/down converters, bit synchronizers, demodulators, decommutators, modems, recorders, global positioning systems (GPS), time division multiplexing (TDM), pulse code modulation (PCM), channelized T1 & T3 circuits, voice-over-IP (VOIP), asynchronous/isochronous transfer mode (ATM), frame relay, virtual private network (VPN), secure voice systems, PBX systems, cesium and rubidium timing systems and cryptographic equipment. Extensive experience with Broadband, Wideband and Narrowband transmission mediums.
Supervisor and leadership experience utilized in day-to-day operations and personnel training. Customer relation skills necessary for error free host/end-user operations and problem resolution.

Responsible for operations, maintenance and repair of the Automated Remote Tracking Station’s (ARTS): 10 meter antenna system; Control and Status system; Tracking, Telemetry and Command system; Communications systems and Uninterrupted Power Systems (UPS). Performed preventative maintenance; station pre-launch readiness activities; analyzed program support requirements; verified and maintained satellite specific documentation utilized for successful operations and coordinated resolution of any associated equipment, documentation or configuration problems.

Responsible for the completion of telemetry events during acquisition, tracking and commanding functions for each satellite contact.
