Brief Description of myself
My great passion for science is the main driver that brought me to got a master graduation in Aerospace Engineer. After my experience abroad at Dresden University (Germany) and more than a year working in the Space sector, I feel myself ready for new opportunities to improve my engineering skills and my personal career.

Description:The position consists in a formation as researcher assigned to experimental activities in the plasma propulsion field for space applications. This assignment implies different sub-tasks:
• Monitoring test campaigns and their development;
• Practically managing electric thrusters (i.e. investigate their features and correctly set them in place to be tested);
• Controlling the functionality of vacuum facilities, turbo-molecular turbines and cryogenic systems;
• Preparing new vacuum chambers from scratch;
• Designing and produce suitable plates and scaffolds to recreate well-defined thermal and mechanical conditions;
• Monitoring components machining and work;
• Analyzing and elaborate data results;
• Discussing with customers test outcomes by means of reports and/or meetings;
• Quality inspection of documents and achievement of UNI EN ISO 9001:2015 and UNI EN ISO 14001:2015 qualifications for the company;
• Travel abroad to reach the customer when required.

September 2014 - May 2017, Master Degree in Space Engineering, University of Pisa (Italy)
Lectures were proposed in English language and they focused on both physical and applied sciences. Main topics were related to rocket propulsion, thermal fluid science, plasma propulsion, spaceflight mechanics and spacecraft structures’ dynamics.
Master Thesis: Thermo-mechanical Analysis Of Composite Structures In A Sounding Rocket
Supervisors: Luca d’Agostino, Christian Bach, Jan Sieder
Description:This thesis was developed at the Technische Universität Dresden (TUD). Here a theoretical approach has been proposed to estimate thermo-mechanical stresses and strains in carbon fiber sounding rocket’s skirt and thrust scaffold. Numerical simulations using Ansys PrePost and eLamX2 have been deeply investigated to obtain reliable results. Eventually a test campaign has been organized for future applications.

Lectures introduced students to the main physical, chemical and mathematical sciences.
A preliminary presentation of aircrafts’ engines and main plants on board was also furnished, with a deep focus on the plane’s aerodynamic aspects.
Bachelor Thesis: Variable Conductance Heat Pipes (VCHPs) E Closed Loop Pulsating Heat Pipes (CLPHPs)

Description: This thesis briefly investigates the basic concepts of different types of heat pipes starting from their physical model and their historical development. Eventually a focus on some tests regarding their functionality is proposed.

February 2016 - April 2016, Partecipation At "Ariston Thermo Graduates Challenge"
The challenge consisted in a selection of twenty participants from eight Italian universities to form five different teams that had to work online to plan a strategy to help company in expanding its commerce in the American continent. The final step of this challenge foresaw the presentation of the teams’ strategies in front of the CEO of the Ariston Thermo Group in english language in Milan.
September 2015 - June 2016, Low Thrust Hall Effect Thruster Demonstration, Space System Course
This project aimed to create a satellite mission able to prove a Hall Effect thruster reliability in the space environment. Both the mission mechanics and satellite’s assembly have been developed. Catia, Ansys Workbench, GMAT, STK10 and Matlab have been used in the project.
September 2015 - August 2016, European Robotic Arm Analysis, Spacecraft Structures and Mechanics Course
In this project European Robotic Arm (ERA)’s launch configuration was reproduced and simulated considering external loads and vibrations. Catia and Ansys Workbench have been used to recreate 3D models and estimate stresses and strains. ERA’s planetary gear system have been studied and its parts’ level of stress computed. Eventually Arm’s dynamic has been simulated using the Matlab free toolbox rvctools.
Great capability to work in groups implying high friendliness and empathy with colleagues.

In my life I have always had three big passions: reading, politics and travels. The former is the one I am at the moment developing the most, buying continuously scientific books and reading the new issues of the international magazine Foreign Affairs (to whom I am subscribed).
