Avionics Systems Design Specialist, 2013-Present

Engineer multiple avionics projects for the Department of Helicopter Systems, a division of the largest aerospace company in Turkey. Manage systems engineering and avionics design simultaneously as previously systems engineering department was eliminated. Manage multiple subcontracts in addition to the main contract.Complete projects according to deadline and budget. Organize regular design review meetings with customers. Involved in all design, integration, test, and troubleshooting activities.Maintain accurate technical documentation and data. Lead Electronic Warfare Concepts and Applications courses at TAI Academy.

Key Projects:

Turkish Attack (T129 ATAK) Helicopter Project: Collaborate with LEONARDO (AgustaWestland) and ASELSAN for the following systems design projects: Electronic Warfare Systems Integration including warning receivers, RF jamming systems, and counter-measure dispense systems; Navigation Systems Integration including INS/GPS (EGI), air data computer (ADC), and radar altimeter; Communication Systems Integration including V/UHF radio, HF radio, secure voice system, IFF (Identification Friend or Foe), Intercommunication systems, and ELT (Emergency Locator Transmitter); Tactical Data Communication Systems Integration; Digital Moving Map Integration; and Mission Planning Ground Station Integration. Designed/optimized multi-functional display (MFD) and keyboard display unit (KDU) pages in accordance with the pilot-vehicle interface (PVI). Coordinate tests including software, systems integration laboratory (SIL), qualification, production, acceptance, ground, and flight.

Sikorsky Utility Helicopter Project: Produce the primary parts and avionics involving original designs and Electronic Warfare Systems Integration.

Bahrain Cobra Helicopter Modernization Project: Spearhead mission systems upgrade of Royal Bahraini Air Force AH-1E and AH-1F Cobra Helicopters.

Directed two primary technical projects for the Department of Helicopter Systems.

Turkish Attack (T-129 ATAK) Helicopter Project: Abided by Turkish Attack Helicopter operational requirements, military standards (MIL-STD, STANAG), regulations (CS 29), and pilot opinions to define operational and functional requirements and visual interface conception. Optimized cockpit functions including multi-functional display (MFD) and keyboard display unit (KDU) in accordance with pilot-vehicle interface (PVI) studies and designed cockpit layout. Utilized Man-Machine Interface (MMI) to design control panels, mission grips, and cyclic/collective grips. Engaged in design reviews and trade-off studies.

Unmanned Helicopter Project: Analysed flight management systems (FMS) to guide autopilot on unmanned helicopters. Developed several flight patterns in order to test FMS and configure the coding and implementation
