System Engineering Calibration Facility (SECF) HW/SW infrastructure for Cosmo Second Generation (CSG)

SECF is composed by HW/SW Infrastructure and the Scientific SW (Algorithms and/or Processors).

The main scopes of the SECF are the verification, the characterization, and the in-flight calibration of the COSMO SAR Payloads, and the update of the parameters for the tuning of the on-ground processors in order to produce calibrated products. The role of the SECF includes in-flight SAR performance calibration and characterization, support to calibration of SAR instrument and SAR ground processors and the image products verification.

GÖKTÜRK System  - Data Handling Facility (DHF)

The GÖKTÜRK System provides the Turkish Defence with a high resolution reconnaissance and surveillance Satellite System.

The Data Handling Facility function task is responsible to acquire ciphered satellite Raw Data files in X-Band from X-Band Base Band unit (X-BBB) belonging to Satellite Acquisition Subsystem (SAS).

Moreover the Data Handling Function task manages the data exchange with the proper Ciphered & Deciphered unit (CDE Unit A or B) in order to obtain deciphered Raw Data Images, Satellite Auxiliary Data or HKTM Raw Data streams

ESA Earth Observation Mission

GOCE Program: Development of the Calibration and Monitoring Facility (CMF) in the frame of Project GOCE (Gravity field and steady state Ocean Circulation Earth Explorer) Payload Data System. Contribution for the analysis of system requirements and definition of architecture, strictly object-oriented, which has been designed using the UML designing standard.

GOCE LTA Re-Processor. In the frame of GOCE Ground Segment, the  GOCE LTA Re-processor is in charge to re-process the Level 1b products  and to create new baseline of them. Contribution for the analysis of system requirements and definition of architecture, strictly object-oriented, which has been designed using the UML designing standard.

ENVISAT Program : Leader, analyst /programmer and System Administrator  in the Project IECF (Instrument Engineering Calibration Facility) for the in-flight calibration of the Envisat-1 satellite earth observation instruments. The system has been installed and integrated at ESA Estec (Noordwijk Amsterdam). The system architecture, strictly object-oriented, has been designed using the UML designing standard
