Summary of Qualifications :

 

Aerospace Engineer experienced in mission and systems engineering from conceptual design through on-orbit operations. Experienced in LEO Earth observing and astronomical observatories; GEO telecommunication and weather-observing platforms; as well as interplanetary missions. Familiarity in working with several NASA centers, JPL, and foreign customers. Good communications, decision-making, and team building skills. Understanding of current industry and technology developments. Qualified to lead the planning and execution of customer capabilities and needs assessments. Qualified to develop candidate mission and system architecture concepts that incorporate innovative engineering approaches.

Management experience. Short-term activation of security clearance available.

  • Key member of the team that planned and executed the retirement of the TDRS-1 spacecraft after 27 years of service. Helped develop the unique approach that allowed compliance with NASA orbital debris requirements despite TDRS-1 on orbit failures.

  • Supported the Jupiter Icy Moons Orbiter (JIMO) project Phase A study from the industry kick-off briefing through completion.

  • Lead the development of a section of Level 2 (Project) requirements increasing NGST’s level of influence beyond the original contract scope
