Skills and Abilities

Experience with quality systems meeting ISO 9000 and Federal Aviation Regulations.

Familiarity with the European Cooperation for Space Standardization.

Space and aviation flight hardware experience, electrical and mechanical, plus thermal blankets inspections with  attention to detail. Proficient at interpreting drawing, sketches, diagrams, parts list, and  written  instructions.

Stamp wires, fabrication of wire harness and cable build, connectors termination, routing, installation and assembly of electronic product on spacecraft, aircraft and rotorcraft, remove and install avionics units and cockpit avionics instruments. Installation of digital and analog radio communication and navigation equipment.

Proficiency with precision tools, hand tools, and power tools; thread, pin, telescoping, hole, and feeler gauges, calipers, outside micrometer, depth micrometer, soldering equipment, hand crimping tools, wire strippers, video boroscopes, and multi-meter.

Electrical installation and modification experience on Space Orbiter vehicles, Gulfstream, Lear Jet, Hawker, Falcon, West Wind, King Air, Challenger, Cessna Citation, Cheyenne, Twin Otter, T-28, DC3, Astra, Boeing 737, 727 & 747, Cessna T210, Bonanza, Mooney, Cirrus, plus Sikorsky, R-22 and Bell rotorcraft.

Performed photographic documentation with the use of Single Lens Reflex (SLR) camera required in accordance with written procedures, policies, and documents.  

Mental skilled, readiness and quickness with manual labor, work well in production environment with changing requirements and schedules. Proactively seek opportunities for work improvement.

Performs in process and final quality inspections duties on space orbiter, to ensure compliance to engineer drawings, specifications, work authorization documents, and operation  procedures. Stamped approved work, maintained paperwork and records.

Inspects assigned areas and associated major components and sub-components, before, during, and after  testing and pre/post launch operations. Inspect the installation, modification, and hook-up of all types of hardware units, and corresponding connections.

Evaluate products, equipment, and processes to ensure their quality and compliance with engineering requirements.
