Researcher/ Analyst

Main activities and responsibilities

Collaboration within the DEOS project (DEutsche Orbital Servicing Mission).     The project involves the capture of a target satellite through a spacecraft with a robotic arm (chaser).

My activity was based on the feasibility analysis, the programming and the experimentation using two LWRs robots (Light Weight Robot). An LWR acts as a chaser and the second LWR moves as a target satellite with its own dynamics.

The achieved goal was to recreate the DEOS scenario on the Earth (compensating the gravitational forces) to test the developed control. It was evaluated the limitations and capabilities of the realized test-bed .
