Technical skills and competences

I can deal with the most common laboratory equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeter and network analyzers. My studies have focused mostly on networking issues, and on those typical of the physical and MAC layer of a wireless network (IEEE 802.11, GSM and UMTS). During my Master at Georgia Tech, I took the classes Sensor Networks and Satellite Navigation and Communication Systems in which I have been provided with advanced knowledge of the covered topics. Furthermore, both these class projects were focused on localization issues. Some notions of the main research challenges in Dynamic Spectrum Access complete my wireless communication background.

Computer skills and competences

I use both Microsoft and Linux/Unix operating systems. I am confident with Microsoft Word, but I prefer Latex to edit my technical documents. So far, I have used Microsoft Power Point to prepare my presentations. All in all, I have acquired good programming skills (both structured and objects oriented) with high-level languages such as C, C++ and Java. I have also a good knowledge of Matlab and some of Simulink.
