Main activities and responsibilities: I read up the behavior of the clearances in aeronautics turbine in order to find out a way to optimize them. I worked with a thermo-fluid-mechanical application, in order to integrate those several aspects of the turbine (CFD, FlowMaster, Patran Thermal). I used statistical analysis software (Minitab) to find out the significant parameters (i.e. flow path temperature, active clearance control flows, etc) in the behavior of the clearance. I also had an interface role between the R&D Department and the Turbine Design Department.
