Other duties included basis of estimates, cost proposal estimates, process flow creation to actual implementation and execution of planned operations.

Special Assignment as NASA’s Ares I-X Constellation Program IPT Lead/Flow Manager – Assignment in support of buildup assembly of the Fifth Segment Simulator, recovery and disassembly of the Ares I-X First Stage.  Other duties included basis of estimates, cost proposal estimates, process flow creation to actual implementation and execution of planned operations in three separate facilities.  Also incorporated Earned Value Management System for assessing the value of work performed utilizing Control Account Management methods, schedule development, daily status updates and interface meetings with engineers and technicians to complete tasks on time and on schedule.

P&W Leadership Development Program (LDP) CORE Rotation – management development of four separate company business assignments, for six months each, to gain exposure and experience in company core areas.  Areas included are;

  • P&W Liquid Space Propulsion Upper Stage Engine – Program Assistant to the RL50 Program Manager in the development and qualification program of the new engine program.  Activities consisted of activities to design, analyze, develop, procure, and production activities.
  • LSP Business Development - Responsible for organizing and leading the Strategy Council meeting agenda to determine course of action for all new business opportunities and proposals for new contracts.  Other duties included proposal manager with P&W executive management.
  • RD-180 Liquid Engine Phase III U.S. Co-ProductionAssistant Manager - Assisted the RD-180 Co-Production Manager in delivering the Statement of Work (SOW) contract between Lockheed-Martin Astronautics (LMA), NPO Energomash (NPO EM) and Pratt & Whitney (P&W).

Senior Mechanical Engineer - Assignment to develop, prepare, coordinate and revise Assembly and Manufacturing documentation for assembly and processing of Forward Assembly components of the Solid Rocket Booster (SRB).  Implement design changes into the manufacturing process by creating and revising Routing Operation Document System (RODS) documentation and Manufacturing Bills of Material (MBOM) to insure NASA Operations and Maintenance Requirements and Specifications Document (OMRSD) requirements are incorporated.  Other duties include assignment to develop, prepare, coordinate and provide Problem Report resolution against discrepant components using the Non-conformance Information System (NIS).  Coordinate with configuration Management, Design Support Engineering and the NASA customer concerning design and as-built hardware discrepancies.  Primarily responsible for facilitating mechanical integration of the SRB non-motor segments and coordination with several organizations to ensure production schedule delivery (i.e., Frustum, Parachute, Nose Cap, and Forward Skirt Assembly build-up).
