Selected projects:

Simulation Rendezvous between swarm of nanosatellites and a big satellite

The project was carried out in the framework of research project BayKoSM (space project supported by the Regional Government of Bayern). The task was to simulate rendezvous between several nano satellites and one big satellite. Mathematical model of this rendezvous was developed and implemented in Matlab.


Neural Control System for an Ultrasonic Motor

The goal of this project was to create adaptive control system for an ultrasonic motor with receiving high precision in positioning (about 2-3 angular seconds). This motor can be described by nonlinear model with unsteady in time parameters. During this project I checked the model, fulfilled identification procedures, created different types of controllers based on sliding mode, pole-placement method, neural networks. These controllers were implemented as a code for simulation (Matlab) and for real on-line control by a microcontroller.


Control System for a stationary robot

The goal of this project was to create control system for a stationary robot for monitoring restricted areas. The task was to design a controller for this plant and create software for a microcontroller which should not only to control movements of the plant, but also communicate with other devices and set/reset auxiliary devices (e.g. TV camera). During this project mathematical model was created, controller was designed, software for a microcontroller were developed, various electrical equipment were chosen, PCB was designed and tested. Appropriate behavior of the system was adjusted through experiments.


Mobile robot drive train

Goal of this project was to create control system for two brushed motors that provide motion for mobile robots. During this project appropriate motors, gear box, power amplifiers, and sensors for feedback were chosen. Taking into account chosen elements an electrical scheme was developed and PCB prototyped. Also a controller was designed and appropriate software implemented.
