Profile

I am a materials engineer with a very strong interest in the aerospace industry and the engineering challenges it poses. I have hands-on experience with thermal management systems, high temperature materials, composites, and alloys. To me, aerospace engineering represents the exploration of the final frontier, and the future of humanity. I am thoroughly committed to making my contribution to it.

2014 - 2017                       PhD Researcher – Optimising additive manufacturing of high temperature ceramics and composites for aerospace applications.

 

2015 - 2017                       Additive Manufacturing Consultant – Performing consulting work for Element 6 Ltd related to 3D printing of complex ceramic geometries.

 

2012 - 2012                       Samsung Electronics Internship - 11 week internship working in Samsung’s semiconductor research and development centre in South Korea.

I adore astronomy and am a member of the British Interplanetary Society. I am a strong advocate of the Wikipedia project and have written and edited a number of articles.

I have been lucky enough to travel extensively throughout Europe, East Asia and North America, and have enjoyed volunteering and teaching. I am a very keen photographer and thoroughly enjoy an adventurous dog walk.
