Overview
Over 15 years of successful management and leadership experience with a reputation for meeting the most challenging organizational goals and objectives. A motivating and innovative individual recognized for attention to detail. A proven and verifiable record for:
• Strategic planning. Led the Crisis Action Planning Team to develop the operationally sound plan that delivered over 705,000 pounds of supplies to the Republic of the Philippines in the aftermath of Super Typhoon Haiyan. Directly led the planning team, consisting of subject matter experts and Officers my senior, for one of the U.S. Navy’s most complex plans.
• Management. Led 66 personnel in conducting scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance ashore and at sea, resulting in 99% mission completion rate and a 27% increase in Ready-for-Tasking rate. Selected as Assistant Officer in Charge during flight qualifications onboard an aircraft carrier that resulted in 100% qualification rate of Naval Aviators.
• Improving programs and policies. Conducted research and recommended policy changes which reduced workload and saved over 115 man-hours per week by altering inefficient staff business practices. Wrote 3 technical reports highlighting critical safety issues that effected maintenance and safety for more than 10 organizations and over 40 aircraft.

United States Navy, 1999 - 2014
LIEUTENANT - 15-year career with the U.S. Navy. Gained upper-level manager status. Varied and well-rounded experience. Excelled in situations that required managing teams of experts to prioritize responsibilities, provide organization and vision, and produce a superior product. Able to quickly adapt to and overcome obstacles in diverse environments. Have spent my entire career building upon a foundation based on the use oral and written communication in professional relationships; motivating, empowering, and counseling subordinate development; and managing human resources, teams, and stress to create a quality organizational climate. Specific duties and achievements include:
 
Operational Test Director:
Coordinated the planning and conducting of tests and evaluations of specific end items, systems, tactics and procedures. Prepared project plans for conduct of tests to determine the capabilities and limitations of equipment to meet acceptability standards. Designed the types and determined number of tests to be conducted. Supervised the conduct of tests. Responsible for the proper management of all program funds. Maintained liaison with governmental, private research and development agencies. Prepared reports of tests and evaluations to include specific recommendations. Coordinated and conducted weekly training for 60 military, civilian, and contractor personnel.
 
Planner:
Assisted commander by coordinating formulation and preparation of plans, policies and studies. Coordinates and directs staff preparation of all emergency, mobilization, logistic and war plans. Coordinated conference space, IT equipment and logistics for three-week planning session involving 25 planners that included military and outside agencies. Analyzes and evaluates such plans of higher authorities, commenting on their effects upon command and preparing supporting plans as required. Reviews, evaluates, coordinates and directs such planning of subordinate commands. As required, represents commander in collaboration with other services and Government agencies in developing plans. Maintains liaison with other commands and Government agencies.
 
Manager:
Responsible for ensuring rigorous and comprehensive conduct of aviation safety through monitoring programs and training. Led 73 personnel in conducting more than 2500 scheduled and unscheduled maintenance actions, and over 350 special inspections on military aircraft. Leading a staff of ten junior Officers and one General Schedule employee, responsible for the daily management of over 350 Naval Officers to include orchestrating over 900 appointments weekly.
 
Aviation Safety:
Responsible for managing aviation safety programs for an organization of over 150 people. Submitted 3 technical reports highlighting critical safety issues that effected more than 10 organizations and over 40 aircraft. Was assigned as the aviation safety expert for an aircraft crash that resulted in the loss of the aircraft and was critical to the maintenance changes to prevent future mishaps.
