Personal Statement

A Aeronautical Engineer graduate from the University of Beira Interior, Portugal. I have skills and knowledge essential for dynamic and static structural analysis, detailed and global FEMs in composites and lightweight structures.

Started work in Altran Technologies Spain, an international group offering innovation and high-tech engineering consulting, in 2008 as Stress Engineer. Here I started developing my professional career and learned most of the software I currently use.

Mid 2011 joined RUAG Space, which is the leading space company in Switzerland, as Development Engineer in the Business Unit Structures.

Analysis Responsible and Analysis Engineer:

-     Lead and coordinate all mechanical analysis tasks as analysis responsible in projects

-     Define the analysis tasks to be performed and the necessary level of detail in close co-operation with the Technical Responsible of the project and the line manager of the Mechanical Engineering group

-     Review and realise of manufacturing and engineering drawings

-     Cooperates with the design, materials & processes, and testing departments with regard to cost-effective and timely technical solutions

-     Evaluate technical specifications, interface documents and any inputs to perform mechanical analysis activities

-     Create mechanical models (FEM) and perform structure-mechanical analysis activities

-     Perform predictions and correlations for Static and Dynamic Tests

-     Review and elaborate technical reports / presentations regarding mechanical analysis
