Brief intoduction:

The candidate present occupation is a responsibility position for ESA (through a contractor company) at the Ground Station Section in ESOC (Darmstadt).

In his almost 11 years as Active RF Engineer he has been involved in analysis and planning of maintenance,  upgrading and development projects of the RF subsystems of the world wide ESA ground stations, coordination of engineering contractors and testing campaign at industrial partners or ESA sites.

He has worked, with Radiometers, in the development of the latest state of the art cryogenic Low Noise Amplifiers deployed in ESA Deep Space Antennas, in the specification and development of the first European 20Kw X Band Klystron based High Power Amplifier and, in all solid state and tube amplifiers (S-,X-,Ka-Band) currently used in the ESTRACK network. Moreover he has proudly been fully involved since the early stages, in the development, construction and acceptance of ESA latest Deep Space Antenna (DS3) in Malargue, Argentina.

During his time for ESA he has deepened his knowledge in Cryogenic Technologies, Vacuum Technologies, Water Cooling technologies, Microwave Tubes technology, Distortion, Noise and Non Linearity effects in amplifiers.

He his currently responsible for the preliminary study of the first 80Kw X Band amplifier.
