measurements of end to end Pyro lines activation, Power current

o Design and coding of Elisa scripts to operate automatically the AOCS units for
the environmental system test campaign. (Sign-Vibration, Acoustic, TBTV,
EMC, FAR).
o Development of user manual document to operate AOCS units.
o Analysis verification of sensor and actuators performance during the whole
test campaign and STR SW patch uploading with new stars catalogues and
NCR troubleshooting.
o Perform final verification of fuel system in Lunch Facility before and after tanks
loading and to edit and maintenance of embedded code to perform final
checks and to load on avionic embedded software flight patches during launch
operation.
o Design and develop AOCS branches of system test procedure.
o Same tasks already carried out during previous experience like AOCS AIV
Test Engineer exposed hereafter with particular emphasis on: Test and
electrical measurements of RWs actuators and Star Trackers and Inertial
Measurement Units sensors and mission test.
Project ‘GOCE’ for C/D and E phases location:
o At EADS/Astrium GmbH (Germany), for 12 months, to Immenstaad (D):
functional test on the EM model (Test Bench) of the scientific satellite ‘GOCE’.
o At Thales Alenia Space premises in Turin, for 7 month for the functional test
campaign at system level on flight model
o At ESA/ESTEC (Netherlands), for eight months during environmental test
campaign and remaining functional test completion
Project ‘Venus Express’ for C/D and E phases location:
o At EADS/Astrium Sas (French), for eleven months, to Toulouse (F): functional
test on the FM model of the scientific satellite ‘Venus Express’.
o At Starsem premises of Baikonur (Kazakstan), for three months during lunch
campaign.
 
· 15-03-2004÷01-10-2004. like EGSE Engineer for AIT-AIV department of
Alenia Spazio Turin to operate the avionic simulator of the spacecraft
“Automated Transfer Vehicle” with the following tasks:
o Development of UCL code scripts. CGS 5.1 (Columbus Ground Sw) sw
environment was used for development, maintenance, for real-time test
execution and data analysis and report.
o Troubleshooting activity when not conformance was found: off-line traffic data
analysis of MIL-STD 1553 BUS;
o Special Application Sw development for automatic set up and commanding of:
1553 MILBus Simulator, Power Front-End Equipment;
o Administration task concerning preparation, maintenance, storing and back up
of test session data using CGS services and utilities (IMDB, FA);
The experience in the carrying out of the aforesaid assignments is matured
within the project ‘Automated Transfer Vehicle: Jules Verne’:
o at the KIS Laboratories of RSC-Energia, for seven month, to Moscow (RF):
functional test 4A4C on the flight and spare models of the RECS subsystem of
ICC part.
 
· 01-07-2003 ÷ 01-03-2004 Working for FIAT Research Centre in Turin, like
Software System Engineer with the tasks following described:
o Algorithm design and programming of the models of outside and inside of
vehicle’s sensor and the environment (road) constraints, using Simulink
standard and user-defined blocks by S-function in C-MEX code.
o Design and develop of the simulator environment software by the Matlab’s
graphic functions.
o Finite-State-Machine design and programming using Stateflow tool in order to
include control logic strategy in a Simulink Model.
Project ‘Amica’: automatic guidance functions for a vehicles’ platoon.
o A simulator environment was carried out in order to test the control algorithm
performance on dynamic behavior of system model. A model has been
designed to study environment constraints and to simulate a platoon of three
vehicles with automatic guidance functions.
o Platoon control techniques were applied to control longitudinal dynamic of
vehicles using inside sensor measurements (laser, gyros and
accelerometers). The lateral dynamic of vehicles was independently controlled
by outside sensor measurements (transponders along the vehicle’s path).
These were used to get an error signal for the feedback controller and as a
preview signal concerning the desires trajectory used for the feedfoward
compensator.
 
· 01-04-2001÷15-06-2003 like AOCS Test Engineer for AIT-AIV avionic
department of Alenia Spazio Turin with the tasks following described.
o Design and Development automatic procedure document for the functional
test on AOCMS subsystem: SADM, Antenna Motors, IMUs, RACS.
o Design, programming, coding, debugging and maintenance of automatic test
scripts code by Elisa language (a dedicated C++ pre-compiler) for AOCS
functional test purposes and system test.
o Open Center was used like environment of SW development, maintenance,
for real-time test execution.
o Conducting AOCS CL and OL Tests, for both EQM and PFM models.
o design and programming scripts for on-line TM analysis and archiving related
to the main expected events, (State transition, FDIR monitoring and unit
measurements.
o Development of test report for analysis of the results and troubleshooting
activity was performed discussing with AOCS SW designer when not
conformance was found.
o Perform of unit electric integration tests of subsystem AOCS.
o Support to ESOC, for AOCS operation, during remote System Verification
Test on both EQM and PFM spacecraft, by monitoring TM parameter in order
to overcome any troubles due to the S/C current configuration constraints or
dynamic simulation setup.
The experience in the carrying out of the aforesaid assignments is matured
within the followings projects.
Project ‘Rosetta’ for the phases C/D and E/F:
o at Thales Alenia Space in Turin: functional test on the Qualification and Flight
models of ‘Rosetta’ satellite;
o at the Laboratories ESTEC-ESA, in Noordwijk (NL): test of environmental
compatibility on the Flight satellite model.
o at the CSG, to Kourou (Guyana Fr.): lunchment campaign.
Project ‘Mars Express’ for D/E phases:
o near Astrium-France to Tolosa (F): functional and of environmental
compatibility verifications on the model of flight of the satellite ‘Mars Express’.

management of calculation was developed with a program in C
language and MS Visual C++ environment.
o It was particularly oriented to solve dispatching services of a power
system with big number of distributed resources including renewable
