Conducted spectroscopy observing runs utilizing HERCULES fibre-fed échelle spectrograph on 1-m telescope at Mt. John Observatory to acquire radial velocity measurements on selected set of short period binary star systems. Efforts were part of an international team conducting observations and research of selected binary systems.
Asteroid Observing Program
Worked with university staff to initiate asteroid observing program across Australia/New Zealand to support NASA Asteroid Initiate. Developed proposals for the initiating amateur/professional observing teams and for development of new dedicated sensor for asteroid detection. Briefed NASA on approach as part of Asteroid Initiative Conference, Houston. Texas. Coordinated proposal work across international partners in Australia and Ukraine.
