    11 June 1988

    Desired employment

    Aeronautics / Aerospace

    Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computational Fluid Dynamics, Vibration Testing and Flight Testing.

    Professional experience

    Cascina Costa, Italy
    From August 2014 up to the present

    I worked at AgustaWestland with functions of electrical systems design engineer for the helicopters AW189/AW149.

    The main duties were:

    Design of Aircraft Electrical Wiring Interconnect System (EWIS), the design tools used were CATIA V5 to design the 3D routing of the cables, schematics and source control drawings (SCD) and CADAM to project the electrical schematics;

    Support the production line;

    Design/create tools to improve electrical design productivity in EXCEL/VBA;

    Document preparation and writing.

    Active Space Technologies, Coimbra, Portugal
    From December 2012 until July 2014

    I worked at Active Space Technologies, S.A where I collaborated on several projects such as:

    Research and Development (R&D) of Aerogel Manufacturing. The research was based on computational simulations made with OpenFOAM. The research consisted of simulating the manufacturing process of Aerogel by a supercritical extraction process and the simulations involved solving multi-species in porous medium.

    Development of a thermal regulated box that uses Peltier cells to control temperature inside a jacket.

    Solar Orbiter Satellite project: the contribution to the project consisted in designing model equipment of the satellite to evaluate their mechanical behaviour and to test if the equipment could withstand the launch; dimensional control of the equipment; technical drawings for high precision manufacturing; and measuring of emissivity of the equipment.

    Vibration Testing responsible: the role was to perform the vibration tests but also design the fixtures for the tests. The design process involved performing Modal Analysis, as well as, Frequency Response Analysis with MSC Patran/Nastran to guarantee that the fixtures could withstand the vibration tests. The shaker used to perform the vibration tests was the LDS V850.

    Automation of processes at PSA factory plant designing mechanisms to transport the chassis from one point to another point autonomously inside the factory plant with the help of two AGV.
