2010- 2013 Management of existing client accounts in order to identify new business opportunities for high-tech electronics projects in the aerospace sector. Bid management of the selected opportunities including the selection of key partners and the coordination of the technical, financial and management proposals with internal and external (partners) bid teams. The job also included the negotiation phase with the client up to contract signature. After signature, the projects are handed to the respective project managers.
Business development responsibility of new business opportunities in order to increase business diversification. This included the generation of new business ideas with the corporate management team (CEO and Board of Directors), the screening of the ideas to identify the most profitable ones, setting up of initial business models, validation of these business models by the market, writing of the corresponding business plans and setting up of the operational chain for service/product delivery.
Project Manager (flight electronics)
2009-2011 Full responsibility of aerospace product development projects. This included daily internal and external team coordination activities, client relationships (mostly with the European Space Agency), tight budget (portfolio of various 2MEUR projects), planning and risk control in order to reach the project planning, budget and quality requirements. The products where successfully launched in orbit and are currently still functional.

2008-2009 Full responsibility of a consultancy business unit active in high-level technology engineering services. This included sales management (following a detailed business plan), team management, recruitment of experienced consultants and project coordination activities. In one year, I developed a new business unit of 10 consultants in the airplane maintenance sector.
Consultant (electronics engineering) @ Thales Alenia Space
2006-2008 Technical management (coordination of a team of multidisciplinary engineers) of electronic product development projects (integration of electrical boards, embedded software, mechanical housings and various interfaces) mainly for Thales Alenia Space ETCA in Belgium. The developed products are currently all flying in orbit on board of telecommunication satellites.
Design Responsible – Société Anonyme Belge de Constructions Aéronautiques, (SABCA), Brussels
2004-2006 Design and technical supervision of electronic circuits integrated within the Thrust Vector Control (TVC) unit of the European space launcher VEGA (to complement the Ariane 5 launcher for the launch of smaller satellites). This is the electronic unit that controls the orientation of the gas exhaust pipes and allows the steering of the launcher. The VEGA launcher is now fully operational in Kourou, Guyana.
Project Engineer – Ecole de technologie supérieure, Montréal, Québec, Canada
Design within a multidisciplinary team of a commercial software for simulation of electrical motor drives (power electronics/regulators/motor/load). This software has been realized for the American company The Mathworks and is currently on the market within the MATLAB software. Collaboration with Caterpillar and Hydro-Quebec for the validation of some simulation models.
