July 2016 – Today: German Aerospace Center DLR (Oberpfaffenhofen, Germany). European Planning and Increment Coordination Engineer at the Columbus Control Center (ESA/NASA ISS):
Team lead since November 2018.
Planning development of ESA Crew and Ground activities onboard the ISS/Columbus module.
Increment Lead Operations Coordinator for Increment 53/54 (Sept. 2017 – Feb. 2018) and upcoming 59/60 (April – Oct. 2019) as the responsible to coordinate the execution of the different payloads, applying their requirements and constraints to the respective planning product.
ESA Representative at ExPCP (Execution Planning Control Panel). Bi-annual meetings to discuss about issues and improvements regarding planning and activity execution. Working groups covering all planning related topics: tools, data standards, planning processes, requirements and constraints.
Real-time operations in the Columbus Control Room (Columbus Operations and Mission Timeline Engineer (COMET) position, certified Jan 2017): timeline reviews, uplink of procedures and ops documents to the ISS, under the responsibility of Columbus Flight Director, and interfacing with international planners (NASA/JAXA/ROSCOSMOS)

April 2014 – September 2014: Internship at Altec S.p.A (Torino, Italy) as part of the Master SEEDS. Feasibility study of a manned mission to Mars, in collaboration with ESA, Thales Alenia Space experts and universities; developed in three phases:
Torino: Objectives and requirements definition, mission analysis, trajectories and orbits research (STK, NASA’s GMAT), on orbit assembly research.
Toulouse: Telecommunication subsystem definition, communication windows study using ephemeris data and scripting with Matlab.
Leicester: Science objectives and payloads definition.
Project presentation at ESTEC (Noordwijk, Netherlands).
March 2012 – August 2012: training at IT&IS1 SIGLO XXI, Information Technology and International Services. Android apps developer, programming in Java and XML, version control with “svn”, HTML server-client connections, JSON object parsing.
Education
2013-2014: Politecnico di Torino (Italy): 2nd level specializing Master SEEDS (SpacE Exploration and Development Systems) coursed in English. International internship (6 months between Torino, Toulouse and Leicester). Systems Engineering applied to develop space exploration projects, mission analysis, orbits and trajectories simulation, science instrumentation research. Sponsorship obtained which covers the Master fee plus a monthly assignment (Intesa San Paolo bank).
2007-2013: Universidad Miguel Hernández de Elche (Spain): Industrial Engineering (Bachelor + Master). Studies based in Automation and Control Systems, Mechanical Design and Computer Programming. Emphasis in CAD tools (Autocad, Inventor) and finite elements analysis software (Ansys, Cype). Erasmus year in Germany, coursing studies in Renewable Energies. “5-star student” award (2014). Dissertation in medicine robotics with spherical movement, based on Open-Hardware board programmed in Python and ROS.

Mechanical Engineering: ICE (Internal Combustion Engines), powertrains, power transmission systems, steering, pumps design, CAD, CAM (drilling, milling, lathe), materials engineering and processes (alloys, composites, polymers and corrosion), structures design and calculation.
3D modeling: Good knowledge of different software packages (Autocad, Autodesk Inventor, Catia), ability to learn quickly new 3D modeling software, strongly interested in 3D printing and rapid prototyping.
