We are looking for an Aerospace/Software Engineers, Computer Scientist graduates or PhDs (or of another discipline with equivalent experience) with 3 or more yrs experience in software integration, validation, testing, requirements engineering to join our service team at our client EUMETSAT in Darmstadt.
Foreseen initial tasks and missions:
- EGOS-CC evaluation & prototyping for reference Sentinel missions S3 or S6;
- Customization, installation, configuration, OPS-PREP activities such as MIB migration etc. are expected. (no SW development is expected).
Requirements/Desired Experience:
- Strong knowledge of EGS-CC, EGOS-CC, OPEN/OPEN-M is considered crucial;
- Space and ground system engineering processes, system and software life cycles and standards;
- Experience in the domain of satellite Mission Control Systems in operational environments;
- Experience in IV&V;
- Experience in preparing system requirements and design documents;
- Practical knowledge in definition, management and traceability of requirements structure and related tools (e.g. IBM DOORs);
- Experience in interface management and familiarity with mechanisms and tools for detailed interface definition;
- Knowledge and demonstrated experience in programming languages (such as Java, SQL, C and/or C++) as well as open source technologies;
- Knowledge of ECSS standards;
- Knowledge of one or more of the spacecraft simulation software would be an advantage.

- High degree of working autonomy and problem solving skills;
- Good English communication skills;
- Team-player.
The work is foreseen to start in Q4 2023.
