We are looking for an experience Quality Manager to be responsible for the management of our Quality System worldwide, ensuring that our products meet all the necessary business and regulatory needs as well as customer expectations.

In this role, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for the management of SWISSto12 Switzerland’s Quality Management System (QMS) and relevant regulatory activities, in accordance with applicable standards, regulations and customer requirements, as well as the implementation and execution of the QMS across our different locations;
  • Build an in-depth understanding of customer needs and requirements in order to ensure an effective quality control process;
  • Ensure effective and compliant product release from process-to-process and from the company-to-Customer;
  • Ensure the correct resources are in place to support the implementation and maintenance of the QMS for current business needs and for future planned growth;
  • Ensure that audit capability is developed and maintained as required by business needs. Establish the annual audit plan. Participate to internal and supplier audits;
  • Deliver training in QMS topics to all levels of the business and support all staff inductions with a QMS introduction session as appropriate for their role;
  • Champion Quality and a Quality culture within the company and provide proactive input to all departments on Quality related issues;
  • Participate in risk management activities with Project Managers;
  • Prepare the Quality Management Review, manage and follow Quality KPIs and review and approve SOPs and other Quality documents;
  • Escalate issues appropriately and in a timely manner to the Management Team;
  • For all tasks, make suggestions for continuous improvement of processes and implement where applicable;
  • Responsible for leading and managing members of the Quality team, their performance and their continued development;
  • Occasionally, you will be asked to participate in overall tasks and services inherent to a dynamic fast-growing company.

Required experience and competencies:

  • Demonstrated experience supporting QMS (ISO 9001, ISO 9100);
  • Proven experience managing a QMS across different sites;
  • In-depth understanding of various quality tools and methodologies i.e. 8D, SPC, 6 Sigma, statistical data and managing Quality System Requirements etc.;
  • Experience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) projects;
  • Excellent ability to prioritize and organize tasks;
  • Strong problem-solving techniques;
  • A keen eye for detail and a results’ driven approach;
  • Very comfortable working across all levels of an organisation from leadership to technical roles and across different cultures and time zones;
  • At ease with Microsoft Office and usual software tools;
  • Master/Engineer’s degree in Quality or Manufacturing related subject (preferred), or equivalent;
  • At least 10 years’ experience in Quality in different industries, ideally in the Space/Aeronautic/Defense industry (development and manufacturing);
  • Fluent in English;
  • Specific experience in spacecraft quality management is a plus.
