You will be responsible for developing code to enable on board processing, meaning your work will be used directly in the mission to monitor greenhouse gas emissions and help to reduce their impact. Your responsibilities in AIRMO
- Design and implement software applications and algorithms to support the satellite startup’s green house gas detection algorithm
- Develop and maintain Edge computing infrastructure including servers, storage, and networks
- Maintain and monitor the performance of the Edge computing platform, including latency, throughput, scalability, and security
- Develop and maintain the green house gas detection algorithm and related data processing
- Analyze and optimize the green house gas detection algorithm to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Collaborate with other teams, such as data science and engineering, to ensure the development and integration of the green house gas detection algorithm
What you should bring to AIRMO
The ideal candidate will have:
- Expertise in cloud computing and networking technologies such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, etc.
- Knowledge of edge computing concepts such as distributed computing, streaming analytics, and fog computing
- Ability to create and manage distributed computing systems, including setting up and maintaining servers and networks
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, and C++
- Knowledge of machine learning, deep learning and artificial intelligence technologies
- Experience in developing, deploying and maintaining algorithms for data analytics
- Familiarity with satellite imagery and remote sensing technologies
- Experience in developing algorithms and applications for data analysis and machine learning
- Knowledge of satellite sensors and instrumentation, such as spectrometers, radiometers, and spectrographs
Requirements
The minimum requirements for applicants include:
- Degree in Computer Science or similar
- 3 - 5 years of relevant engineering experience
- Strong fundamental understanding of atmospheric modelling
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Enthusiasm to learn about the NewSpace or Climate tech
