System Engineer

RINA is currently recruiting for a System Engineer to join its office in La Spezia within the Space & Defence Division.
Mission
This role focuses on providing support to main clients in design, implement, manage and maintain complex systems efficiently and reliably respecting time, budget, and quality requirements.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordination of activities preparatory to the Setting to Work (STW) of the assigned S/S: Verification of the correct positioning of the equipment, laying of cables and connections in accordance with the installation documents, functional diagrams, cable segregation rules; Verification of correct receipt of the supply and its integrity (both equipment and installation kits/MIMs); Management of the procurement process or replacement of missing parts;
- Qualification/acceptance activities on board: ensure the correct baseline of the system; Monitor the progress of changes made during production and any obsolescence.
- Support for Setting to Work activities: Provide contribution to the resolution of on-board problems in collaboration with the shipyard and C/S suppliers; Monitor the timing of the activities in accordance with the Integrated Plan based on the HAT and SAT tests;
- Develop project schedules and deliverable timelines;
- Prepare the project deliverables (technical reports, project performance documentations and engineering drawings);
- Ensure that all assigned activities are executed in accordance with the RINA QMS.
Education
- Master’s Degree in Engineering General
Qualifications
- In-depth skills in relevant technologies and systems of the Defence Sector (Combact System)
- Practical Experience in the field in previous work experience
- Knowledge of best practices and methodologies in the field of systems engineering, including industry standards and security practices. Such as system engineering principles (e.g V model), technical documentation (SSS, Tracing and managing of requirements using DOORS), knowledge of Model-Based System Engineering, Design of complex systems, DOORS
- Experience in integration and validation of systems / subsystems (including test report)
- Knowledge of main used standards in System Engineering (e.g. MIL-498, ECSS, etc)
- Ability to work independently and prioritize duties
