Description
Tyvak International is seeking new members to join their team to support space vehicle development. Tyvak focuses on developing and integrating key components and technologies into highly integrated and high-performance nano-satellite vehicles. The team’s skillset ranges from architecture, design, build, and test of mechanical, electrical, and software subsystems integrated into small spacecraft.
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Programs Area Manager at our Turin (Italy) location. The candidate will manage the Programs Managers’ team, and will report directly to the VP Programs. In principle, the Programs Area Manager will not have a specific project to be managed. His / Her main role will be to coordinate the Programs Managers' team, ensuring their work flawless execution, managing the requests coming from VP Programs and ensure execution.
Specific Tasks And Responsibilities
- Coordinate the Programs Managers’ (PM) team.
- Support PMs in executing their daily work, including conflicts resolutions
- Allocation of PM to new programs
- Regular reporting to VP Programs
- Manage requests coming from VP Programs and ensure related execution by the team
- Knowledge of Programs processes and ensure their correct implementation by the PM team.
Being a team management role, soft skills are crucial for the execution of the work.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (Masters preferred) in a technical field (i.e., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace or related degree) or Business with experience leading engineering teams.
- From 2 to 5 years of work experience (not including school) in the space industry.
- Experience and understanding of satellites, space sensors and ground systems used for space assets.
- Understanding of NewSpace environment and Micro-Nano-Pico Satellite ecosystem.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience and proficiency in task management.
- Ability to help organize and manage a team of personnel, develop program schedules, and control budgets to meet required deadlines.
- Ability to communicate across organizational boundaries and levels.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficient communication skills, and ability to provide and receive constructive criticism.
- Fluent English (oral and written) is mandatory.
Desired requirements
- Experience as a responsible Systems engineer on flight projects is highly desirable.
- 2+ years of work experience in Space Program Management (management of institutional customers - such as ESA) are highly desirable.
