What You ‘ll Be Doing:
- Participation in the entire design and development cycle of state-of-the-art fixed-wing small and tactical Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) for defense and security applications, including certification;
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) of unmanned aircraft systems and their subsystems;
- Physical, logical, functional architecture design and modeling;
- Working with cross functional teams for the analysis, definition, allocation and traceability of system requirements and architectures;
- Coordination of design and development activities over the complete system engineering lifecycle;
- Preparation of system documentation.
Qualifications & Experience:
Required:
- University Degree in Electrical/Electronic/Aeronautical/Systems Engineering or related discipline;
- More than three (3) years of systems engineering experience (in architecture and design, requirements, documentation, CONOPS, integration and verification);
- Experience in human factors engineering;
- Understanding of wireless communication systems and networking;
- Familiarity with electrical power distribution and lightning protection.
Desired:
- Experience with engineering requirements management tools, e.g. DOORS;
- Experience modeling complex systems using MBSE SysML tools;
- Familiarity with hazard analysis and safety assessment processes and standards, e.g. ARP4761, MIL-STD-882, ISO 26262, IEC 61508;
- Familiarity with Reliability, Availability and Maintainability engineering guidelines and analyses.
