About this role:
This role is perfect for students eager to gain technical expertise and production support experience in the manufacturing of spacecraft products. You will play a critical role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of cost, quality, safety, and timelines. This role is hands-on, site-based role as it requires assembling, integrating, and testing of our products and subsystems.
We are open to discussion on the working arrangements, ideally it would be up to 20 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with assembly, integration, and testing (AIT) activities while ensuring compliance with cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
- Collaborate with the development team to create AIT plans, procedures, and test reports, documenting lessons learned.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and enhance AIT procedures and standards.
- Perform incoming- and outgoing inspections of components and products.
- Help prepare for and conduct environmental tests, including mechanical, thermal, and EMC testing.
- Assist in analysing test results and raising non-conformance reports when necessary.
- Maintain inventory systems accurately.
- Support design reviews to assess implications for the AIT phase.
- Assist in managing the clean room, ensuring proper maintenance and adherence to safe working practices.
Skills required:
- Currently pursuing a relevant degree or equivalent work experience
- Hands-on experience in Assembly, Manufacturing, and Integration (AIT) of complex systems (academic or practical).
- Knowledge of system and sub-system testing, including test design, procedures, assembly, execution, analysis, and reporting.
- Detail-oriented, focused, and meticulous
- Ability to work both independently and collaborate within a multicultural team
- Competent IT skills including Office software
- Proficient in English, both verbally and written
Skills desired:
- Degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electronic Engineering (or a related field)
- Relevant space industry experience
