Project Manager - Satellite Communications

We are looking for a Project Manager - Satellite Communications, who can successfully execute commercial initiatives within the scope of those projects to establish and maintain ST Engineering iDirect's position in the market. Initiatives to start will include projects that are transactional in nature and in due course of time and experience large-scale programs.
Responsibilities
As our Project Manager, you will:
- Be responsible of the Project Management & Support Contract fulfillment:
- Assume responsibility for the execution of the attributed projects (both standalone and as a part of larger programs);
- Organize the projects to ensure contract fulfilment;
- Act as single point of contact for internal/external stakeholders;
- Fulfil project reporting requirements including but not limited to SOWs, project plans, RACIs, action item and risk registers, etc.;
- Ensure cost effectiveness of operation and learn to provide financial reporting.
- Be responsible of the Customer Satisfaction & Project Quality:
- Manage customer communications including recurring reporting and status meetings, etc.;
- Align with customer processes within contractual boundaries;
- Solve and/or escalate project/program issues at early stage;
- Guarantee adherence with current best practices and applicable quality standards;
- Continuously improve quality and performance.
Qualifications
As a prerequisite to become our Project Manager, you:
- Hold a master’s or bachelor’s degree (preferably in Engineering, Computer Sciences, Telecommunications or Aerospace);
- Have at least 2+ years of relevant experience in project management in complex technological environments;
- A PMP, PgMP, PfMP, CSM and/or comparable project management certification is a plus;
- Are:
- Have some experience in a service delivery management role, exposure to international shipping and customs is a plus;
- Familiar with basic project management documentation and the ability to create/maintain such artifacts for assigned projects/programs;
- A true team player who is collaborative with and supportive of his/her colleagues.
- Can:
- Create documentation that is detailed, clear, concise, and accurate;
- Perform under stress, while maintaining a calm, professional demeanor;
- Work in a fast-paced environment, to multitask and to manage competing priorities.
- Work comfortably with virtual groups and stakeholders around the globe;
- Possess:
- Formal knowledge of project management methodologies and be able to adapt them to the specifics and the reality of your stakeholders;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in any other language is a plus.
- Have a profound interest and/or experience in satellite communication and new technologies;
- Love to communicate with a broad range of technical experts and to share information;
- Have an inquisitive nature and are a believer in continuous learning/improvement;
- Native EU citizenship required.
