ThrustMe is looking for an Electronics Engineer at ThrustMe, to develop the advanced electronics and software powering our propulsion systems. In this role, you will work on challenging problem, with complex electronic systems which require both high performance and exceptional reliability, all while operating in the extremes of the space environment.

As part of the Product Development Team, you are going to be at the intersection of cutting-edge research and mass production, transforming novel concepts into flight-ready systems that will shape the future of space propulsion. Joining us, you will be part of an international, collaborative, and creative team, that is passionate about developing our groundbreaking propulsion technology.

Main tasks and responsibilities

  • Create and refine advanced electronic hardware components, including PCB design, analogue and digital circuit development, and power management systems tailored for space propulsion applications.
  • Develop and execute rigorous testing procedures to validate hardware performance and reliability under extreme conditions.
  • Utilize laboratory equipment for troubleshooting, debugging, and optimizing electronic systems.
  • Ensure electronics requirements are defined and properly followed, according to the global product design needs.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of hardware design processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards and best practices in the aerospace industry.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams - mechanical, software, industrialization engineers and physicists - to ensure seamless integration of hardware components within complete propulsion systems.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Masters degree in electronics engineering or related discipline.
  • Solid understanding of analogue and digital electronics design, including complex schematic diagrams.
  • Software development skills, with experience in creating small Arduino scripts or modifying existing software to autonomously test hardware designs is an asset.
  • Ability to build prototypes and debug them.
  • Background in design, simulation, prototyping and testing of power converters or similar.
  • Proficiency with laboratory equipment for testing and debugging of electronics.
  • 5+ years industry experience is a nice to have.
