Project Manager - Space

We are looking for a Hardware Project Manager with at least 5 years of experience in the space sector, to support the Technical Lead in achieving project goals related to timeline, scope, budget, and quality.
The selected candidate’s primary role will involve managing and coordinating the project team using tools such as Jira and Confluence, extracting performance metrics to ensure project success and alignment with strategic objectives. This role also includes budget tracking and maintaining clear, ongoing communication with all relevant stakeholders..
Tasks to be performed:
- Support the Technical Lead in the planning, execution, and monitoring of hardware development projects in the space field;
- Lead and coordinate the project team, ensuring timely delivery, scope adherence, budget control, and quality standards;
- Monitor the project budget, track deviations, and ensure cost control throughout the project lifecycle;
- Interface with key stakeholders—including subcontractors, clients, and partners—to ensure alignment and smooth project execution;
- Utilize Jira and Confluence for project tracking, team coordination, and maintaining visibility and transparency;
- Extract and analyze project performance metrics to ensure successful delivery within defined parameters;
- Oversee hardware project development by applying industry best practices and tools specific to defense-related engineering environments;
- Ensure proper implementation of agile methodologies, promoting collaboration and continuous iteration.
Required skills, experience and candidate profile:
- Master's or PhD in Electronics, Telecommunications, robotics, or related field;
- 5 years of experience managing hardware development projects in the space industry;
- Technical background in electronics, microelectronics, or RF systems;
- Capability to extract and analyze performance metrics in projects;
- Strong communication and coordination skills with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders (subcontractors, clients, partners);
- Proven experience in budget management and resource allocation;
- Advanced english proficiency is essential;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office;
- Proficient in project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Nice to Have:
- Ability to extract and interpret project performance KPIs;
- Knowledge of PA/QA (Product Assurance and Quality Assurance) in space environments;
- Experience with Power BI for creating reports and project dashboards;
- Familiarity with process automation tools and dashboard development;
