As the subcontractor manager you will be the main point of contact for a subcontractor for electro-optical units in the field of laser interferometry.

Your tasks

• Serve as the primary responsible and direct point of contact for the subcontractor assigned to units of a laser interferometric instrument;
• Coordinate, implement, and monitor the subcontractor’s development activities;
• Conduct technical assessments and, if necessary, perform shadow engineering;
• Collaborate with engineers across the company as part of the payload team;
• Negotiate change requests and manage contract change notices;
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements regarding quality, cost, and schedule;
• Report regularly to the project manager;
• Organize and lead technical and project reviews.

Your skills and experience

• Experience in development projects for space applications;
• Strong understanding of lasers and electro-optical systems;
• Able to work independently as well as within interdisciplinary teams;
• Proven experience in project planning;
• Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and foster a culture of inclusion;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in German is an asset;
• Master’s degree or PhD in Physics, Electronics, or a related engineering discipline;
• Willingness and ability to travel within Europe on short notice.
