As a Satellite Electronics Systems Engineer you will take the technical lead of the satellite electronic aspects for the entire lifecycle of a project. It starts by understanding the customer electronic requirements, translating them into satellite equipment level requirements, and performing a conceptual satellite electronics design.
You will then have to evaluate supplier proposals/datasheets, participate in the selection of electronic equipment, and monitor the progress of (internal/external) suppliers/subcontractors by assessing the technical work (for example, through design reviews). Throughout the project lifecycle, you will establish and maintain the satellite electronic budgets focusing on data interfaces, power and communication budget.
Additionally, you will also be responsible for defining the specification for the complete satellite harness.
Finally, you will also be required to participate in the satellite level verification campaign, make sure the design and test results are properly documented, and, finally, assist in the launch campaign and in orbit verification.
