We are looking for a talented and experienced Aerodynamics Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and analysis of aerodynamics systems.

We are seeking an Aerodynamics Engineer with a strong background in simulations and analysis, specifically related to aerodynamic simulations, sloshing phenomena, and structural interactions. The ideal candidate will have experience using CFD tools such as Ansys Fluent and OpenFOAM, and expertise in fluid-structure interaction analysis, as well as MATLAB.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed aerodynamic analysis on the flight conditions of the vehicle. 
  • Perform CFD simulations to assess and optimize aerodynamic performance.Utilize Ansys Fluent and OpenFOAM for advanced CFD analysis. 
  • Analyze sloshing phenomena in tanks and their interactions with the vehicle structure.
  • Carry out fluid-structure interaction and heat transfer analysis to ensure structural integrity under aerodynamic loads.
  • Interpret and analyze simulation results, providing actionable insights for design improvements. 
  • Support the development and validation of aerodynamic and structural models.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in aerodynamic analysis and CFD simulations.
  • Proficiency in Ansys Fluent and OpenFOAM for CFD analysis. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in 1-2D fluidic models. 
  • Familiarity with MATLAB for data analysis and model development. 
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. 
  • Advanced proficiency in technical English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with additional CFD tools and software. 
  • Knowledge of aerodynamic testing and validation procedures. 
  • Familiarity with other programming languages and simulation tools. 

Additional Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel extensively to support launch activities and hardware testing.
  • Flexibility to work extended hours as necessary to meet mission objectives.
  • Adaptability to take on varying subsystem design responsibilities, demonstrating a quick learning curve to meet changing requirements.
